Ordering FAQs

This section contains some of the most common questions I get asked in relation to ordering from me. If you have a question about any of the pieces you see on my website, or if you have a question that hasn't been answered here, please don't hesitate to contact me, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

What kind of accessories do you make?

I make hair accessories, jewellery and keepsake boutonnieres that can be worn by either men or women.

What is the difference between made to order and bespoke accessories?

Made to order accessories are a selection of pieces that I have already designed and what you will see in the collections in my online store

A bespoke accessory is a one- off piece or pieces that I design and make specifically for you, working with you to capture your vision and ideas for your special event.

How long will my order take?

All orders whether made to order or bespoke are completely handmade only by me, here in my studio in Wales. I only start to make a piece once a client is happy to go ahead with their order, and has paid their deposit. This helps me to keep waste materials to a minimum- particularly wire, which once used, can't be reused in other pieces due to the nature of it. The time it takes me to make and complete an order largely depends on my current work schedule and I would definitely advise international clients to allow extra time for postage as delays can happen with deliveries- particularly at certain times of the year, such as the Christmas/Holiday period.

For made to order items, I always advise that you allow 2- 6 weeks to avoid disappointment. If you live outside the UK, I would advise allowing 4 -8 weeks. The length of time it takes really depends on my current workload. Once I receive your order, I will contact you on the next working day with a shipping date.

For bespoke items, please allow 4- 10 weeks, and a minimum of 10 weeks if you live outside the UK.

This might seem like a long time but you are getting something designed and made especially for you and I want you to be truly delighted with your order when it arrives to you, so the process will take a bit longer than a made to order piece. If you'd like to know more about the bespoke order process, please click here, and as always if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Can you design and make for my whole bridal party?

Absolutely! However, if your order is for multiple accessories, then you may need to allow extra time on top of what is stated above. A more accurate timeframe will be given once we have discussed your requirements.

Do you accept rush orders?

I will try to accommodate a rush order only on made to order items from the selection of designs already on my website. Whether or not I can help you very much depends on my current workload and how much of a rush you are in. I don't charge a rush order fee, but I do ask you to contact me as soon as you can with an outline of exactly what you need and if I can- I will try to fit you in.

How do I take measurements for jewellery?

There are 2 methods that you could use. The first is to use a piece of string or length of ribbon and adjust to required length at your wrist or neck, and then use a ruler or tape measure to calculate the length in inches, cm or mm.

The second is to measure an existing necklace or bracelet that you are comfortable wearing. Please contact me if you need any further help or advice.

Do I have to be getting married to order from you?

Not at all! Anyone is welcome to order from me, so feel free to message me with any queries.

Do you have a physical shop where I can visit?

I don't have a physical shop and my studio is currently based in my home, so it is not open to the public. I have successfully designed and made accessories working with clients all over the UK, Ireland and as far away as the USA using mostly email in the past, and more recently Zoom/ WhatsApp consultation calls, so there are plenty of options available to discuss your ideas. If you are thinking about having a bespoke accessory/accessories made for you, please do contact me. The initial consultation is always free, and you are under no obligation to proceed.
